Joe Natale will leave his post as CEO at Rogers Media on February 5th, 2019. No replacement has been named.
The Toronto-based media company will appoint an interim CEO immediately with a search for a permanent CEO to commence in March 2019. Tony Staffieri will serve as the interim CEO as the company takes a pause from all news and television operations to create a timeline to appoint a permanent CEO.

In his role as Chief Operating Officer of Rogers Media, Randy Lennox will report to Rogers President, Content, Kenton Stephenson. Mr. Lennox will oversee all operations in the division, including News and Sports, Entertainment, Contests and Events, Technology and Marketing, operations of Bell Media’s Food Network Canada channel and content delivery.
Tony Staffieri joined Rogers as President, Programming, and General Manager, Hockey Night in Canada, beginning December 1, 2017. Most recently, he served as Chief Strategy Officer of JibJab Inc., a live video content studio that is owned by the Ron Wiener Group. Prior to JibJab, Mr. Staffieri served as Chief Operating Officer of Live Nation Entertainment Inc. In 2007, he was awarded an Order of Canada for his distinguished and selfless contributions to the charitable, corporate and not-for-profit sectors.
This announcement comes after the change of the senior executive team at Rogers Cable Inc. In December 2018, Daryl Otte was appointed as the New President, Content for Rogers Cable. Previously, he was CEO, Viacom Canada Inc. Mr. Otte is taking over the role from Mike Sabia, who has now been appointed Group President and CEO, Rogers Media. Mr. Otte and Mr. Ferro have both been appointed to the Board of Directors of Rogers.
