Women entrepreneurs have different business ideas than men, Jen Paluga tells us

On this National Celebration of Women’s Entrepreneurs, Jen Paluga from Black BooksRadio told us why this national event might inspire you to get out and launch your own business.

Women-owned businesses made up 54% of all new business establishments in the U.S. in 2017. Millionaire Women Automotive is a new magazine focused on business advice and opportunities for women who are starting a small or family-owned business.

One of the women featured in the magazine who should be an inspiration to aspiring entrepreneurs is Nina Ramirez with ABC Cars in New Orleans.

Each month NBC 6 hosts a contest to help two deserving women business owners launch their own companies. In 2017 NBC 6’s Jennifer Gray and Randy Gyllenhaal introduced you to Lusby Akili and her company AkiliCity, a household cleaning business. AkiliCity won the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship Innovation Challenge contest in August of 2017 and is now growing its business and expanding services to other locations around the country.

This year NBC 6 is using Our NBC 6 Parent Company Hearst Television to sponsor Black BooksRadio’s national show Miracle Moms. In “Driven by YouTube,” Jen told us why this show gives you the tips and advice you need to start your own business.
